Health and safety/Building regs stupidity :

ALL plug sockets in a room cannot be fixed low down next to the skirtings or mounted in the skirtings. They must now be 15 inches upwards of flooring level. It looks stupid.I was going to be sarcastic and say why not have them all up in the corner of the ceiling which wont work so why not halfway up the wall instead ?

Will this end here or will there be any further regulation over the siting of electrical sockets ?

My guess is it wont just end there as building regs become more complex every year without fail.

I know what lets all start using Pyro for all wiring that will be fun.

Its GRRRRRRRReat fun trying to strip back the ceramic insulation to expose a short length of cabling with which you make your connection with.

[Fucking Pyro Shit !!****$$$!!*!*!*!!!!!!!!!!!@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@]

Pyro is electrical cabling that has ceramic/porcelain insulation of varying thicknesses that is normally used in petrol stations, power stations, oil rigs, submarines.Anything like that really.

NO chance of any fire risk then.

MMM doesnt the cabling ,plugs etc look good trailing down the wall ?
